Anyone who follows my Instagram feed will see that occasionally I post snaps from the pages of my sketchbook. It’s been nice having somewhere to share my sketches, as I do a lot of drawing, most of which just stayed closed up in whichever notebook I happen to have to hand at the time.
Recently, I thought it might be nice to do something more with what’s inside those sketchbooks, so I herewith present you the first collection from my Sketchbook Series of high quality giclée prints on Hahnemuhle paper, all for sale in my shop at 201 Bree St, Cape Town, and online in ZAR and in US$:

Vessels is derived from one of the many, many sketches I made while looking at all the Steve Shapiro ceramics I’ve been hoarding in my upstairs studio (now available for sale in the shop).

Our two beloved kitties, Monkey and Nanook, are a constant source of sketchbook fodder, which is probably why I have a bit of a proliferation of cat-related paper goods. Along with my Cat Sketches postcards and lasercut Kitty card, there’s now the Cat Shadow giclée print on Hahnemuhle paper.
Vanity - 250 x 210cm giclée print on Hahnemuhle paper.
Frankly, I have no idea what made me make this drawing of combs, brushes and a hand mirror, but it really tickles me, so I hope you like Vanity as much as I do.
Teapot - 250 x 210cm giclée print on Hahnemuhle paper.
I made this drawing ages ago, when I spent a wonderful day drawing all the teacups, jugs and teapots in our house. This Teapot print show the Finel teapot we use for storing Rooibos teabags in our kitchen, and it goes perfectly with my Tea? postcard.
